Just had to let the SOUND lovers know that I replaced my factory front 6x9 speakers with some new 4 way ECLIPSE speakers. All I can say is that it is amazing and the sound is way better. Now I am working with an amp rack to go under the cargo area to include one amp and a capacitor with ventalation to keep the amp cool and running well for the JL W3.

Are the speakers the correct impedance? I hear the Bose is not standard.

I have a kicker zx750 amp on top of the spare, running a 12" Type R, it has not overheated yet, but I was thinking about using some 12CM PC fans or getting a cross flow fan just in case.

i only heard of a 3-way. what's the difference of a 4-way?

Where did you get yours and how is the fit? I want to upgrade my speakers too. The stock speakers is pretty weak.

Sorry BIG BALLER didn't feel the need to waste the extra cash on the BOSE stero which isnt even a real Bose system. Nissan just bought the rights to the BOSE name like many other car companies. The speakers are at 4 ohms and they sound awsome I can bet that the simple speaker upgrade plus the 12 inch JL W3 will blow the "BOSE SYSTEM" out of the water and for a fourth of the price.

rjuarezjr915-I'm with kots... where did you get them from? Using the Crutchfield fitter, I can only find rear door speakers that fit.

I bought the 4 way ELCIPSE speakers from a local car audio store. The 6x9 fit in the front door just fine no extra holes needed. The rear doors on the other hand are a pain, because you may need to drill more holes also you will need to place some type of sound densing around the speaker so it does not rattle while in the door. Now as far as for the amp rack its a must it will look clean and the fan is to keep the amp cool allowing it to run at the most efficient range.

I had all JL in my old car- and this bose is great, but the highs aren't as high, the lows not as low, but I don't want to take up any space in the cargo/passenger area- does anyone have any ideas?
