This is covered in numerous threads as well as a sticky, searching is always a good idea.

The stock openings/pods/plates are for 4x6 speakers and depending on whether the 240 has "active" speakers are not, willplay a part in how/what you have to do.

The recommendation is spend a little time/effort and make a mount adapter/plate to put at least 5.25, but preferrably 6.5's in there.

I second this idea...

I put 4x6's in the doors, and they were an improvement but not by much. I could hear the rear speakers better than I could the fronts. So I sold the 4x6's and put in 6.5's. Much better

Several have done this, but you have to keep the mounting depth and magnet in mind.

Something like this probably won't fit, but it's unusually large for a 6.5

Any "mid-level" 6.5 coaxial should work. I'd suggest Pioneer, but I'm sure other brands would perform well.

It really depends on how much $$ you want to spend on the whole system.
