Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum. I just purchased an '04 G35 coupe with 61k miles about three weeks ago. I'm having a problem with my speakers in the car: they seem to go out when I step on the brakes. Whenever I brake hard, all four of the speakers are muffled and I can barely hear them, and they stay out until I step on the brakes again. Sometimes they also go in and out when I am going down a bumpy road. I have the Bose system if that means anything. I am disappointed because my warranty just expired 1,000 miles ago. I am more than happy with the car, I love the handling and the speed, but my last car was a Land Rover that was plagued with electrical problems, and I thought by switching to a Japanese car I would get away from that. Is there any way I can troubleshoot this without major surgery? (I have little hands-on car experience) Thanks a lot. -Casey

i'd say it's a loose cable. since all of your speakers are going out at the same time it's probably a connection in the back of the unit. i'm not %100 sure if the amp is located somewhere else but that would definitely be another place to look. you could stop by your local stereo shop, too. they could probably take care of that for you.
