I have an s-14 with factory speakers, and a kenwood deck.

My speakers sound fine when using cd, but they sound like they are blown when listening to the radio. The bass is more crackly...

Any ideas???

it's probably just because the radio station pumps out more wattage than your factory amp.:) i dunno

but yea, open up the speaker covers and see if they're all tore up. if so, they're bad.

Could the bass be crackly because it's a far away station and you're not getting very good reception? If the speakers play fine with cd's I think this could be the cause.

either the reception, or the fact that cd's will play 29803 times better, as they are digital music

Radio playback is usually sloppy with dominant overbearing bass. You sound like youre due for new speakers.
