I would like to change the speakers of my 2011 Rogue. Especially the rear speakers are terrible. I will never change the main unit and I will never add amplifiers or a sub woofer box in my trunk. I am against changing the original look of the car and running wires from trunk to dashboard.

So I will just open the door finishes and change the 6.5" rear speakers and 6X9 front speakers. My question is, what is the maximum watt output of the head unit? I don't want to spend money on a 350 Watt speaker, if the output is only 100Watts. I am sure there are some people in this forum upgrade their speakers, so maybe they can give me an advice about the optimum Wattage for after market speakers.

And should Ohm value be higher as well?

For 6.5" I am thinking of buying:

For 6X9:

I am confused...

I replaced all the speakers in my '09 Rogue a couple of years ago because I had never heard speakers as bad as the OEM's. I also stripped the interior and added sound/heat proofing to the ceiling, floor, and side walls. Instead of worrying about wattage, I recommend you concentrate on Frequency Response, Total Harmonic Distortion, Sensitivity, and whether they are 2,3, or 4 way speakers. I'm not sure if anyone would know the power output of the base unit, but most speakers that I reviewed were in the 100 watt range and not that expensive. I also recommend that you do a search on procedure before you start pulling door panels. Good luck.

I purchased JVC HX-638 speakers for the rear door.

The RMS Power of these speakers is 40 W and I think it is enough for me. I will use the OEM Head unit, so I am pretty sure it has a low power output. Thats why I did not go to higher RMS speakers. The frequency response (30-25.000 Hz) is broad enough for my needs. Without a powerful and expensive after market head unit and amplifiers and sub woofers, I think these speakers will give good sound. Of course it will be way better than the stock speakers.

My only question is: should I purchase this:
