stock speakers usually arent rated for more than 20watts rms

are you looking to get a 4 channel amp or connect them to the head unit?

The b15 sentra has 6.5"/6.75" rounds in the door AND rear deck. Stick with those and it is pretty close to a "direct fit" in either location.

(In my case, I used Polk EX3650's in front doors and had to drill a couple of holes for mounting screws. Other than that, it was a straight-forward fit.)

As for brands, what is your choice in music and budget?

are the 6.5 in the front doors and the 6.75 in the back?? where did you find the info by the way??

as far as a budget, I have about $500 on me right now, but I don't plan on spending all of it..im not looking for any particular brand, but I've heard Pioneer and Bleufukndt (dont know how to spell it) are good.

well heres the cheep way Amp: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com...18587Speakers: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com...16377

heres the way i would go if you want to spend a little more cash

Amp: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com...16883Speakers: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com...14835

i have the amp and the speakers above and i can say they are amazing...sound quality is amazing, amp runs efficient, and it gets loud as hellnot to sure on the bass tho, since i have a sub i have the high pass filter on so the door speakers arent getting low notes, anyways lets just say this...even if i didnt have my sub i can still turn peoples head with these highs..you can hear em from a good 2 blocks away....with the bass probably a good 5 blocks or so

however if your ona tight budget im sure the crunch amp and the hifonics speakers would still be a huge upgrade from being stock

but the price difference is onle 150 dollars or so so id do the kickersalso rockford fosgate has some nice stuff but there a little more pricy

thanks man! I plan on putting a little something in the trunk too (either two 10's, two 12's, or one 15), so im gonna have to get an additional amp to support that right?

but I deff. have 6.5's and 6.75's correct?

as far as music, I listen to mostly hip hop..I like some bass, but I'm more concerned with the song as a whole being loud..not just the baseline..see what I'm saying?

The 6.5" for front and 6.75" in the back but are not "direct" drop-ins. You need to drill additional holes. Numerous people over at b15sentra.net have use Polk DB series 6.75" speakers in the back.

For me, brand is determined by what you listen to. IMO, Polk DB series are a great all-around speaker for the $. Same with Infinity Reference series. In my experience, the Blaupunkt or Pioneer tend to me fine for average everday rock/etc listening.

As a person who enjoys jazz, classical and live recording what I buy matters to my ears.

This is from a "sticky" b15sentra.net

If the answer to your question is in this FAQ, God help you if you ask it in the forum. Questions or comments, errors and omissions can be directed to [email protected].

SIZES:

Stock locations and sizes in any B15 are as follows:Deck: With an adapter kit, just about any aftermarket deck up to 6.875" deep will fit fine.Map Pocket: Yes, that's a full DIN hole. The factory used it for a 6-disc changer, but do as you like with it.A-pillar Tweeters: a 1" tweeter should fit. You have to run your own wires to the crossover, though.Doors: Technically, it's a 6.75" speaker hole, but it's only 1.9375" deep, so your options are very narrow.Rear Deck: Also 6.75", but much deeper (10"!). No, a 6x9" won't fit.Sub: Depends; some GXE and SE models as well as all base SE-Rs have a 6.5" sub in the deck. SE-Rs with the Audio Fanatic package have an 8" in a box in the trunk.

GENERAL TIPS:

For the deck, use the Metra kit. The Scosche kit has notoriously poor fit. Crutchfield ships the Scosche kit, and it sucks. There are other brands, but the Metra is believed to be the best from experience. Scosche makes a really neat line of harness adapters, though, including a Plug'n'Play model for Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, and some other decks. Simply unplug your factory radio, plug one end of this into the chassis-side-wiring harness, and plug the other end into your new deck; no muss, no fuss. If you're feelin' froggy, that map pocket can do anything you want, from a DVD deck, to an EQ, to an aftermarket CD changer, or whatever; the sky and your wallet are your only limits.

The front speakers are the most difficult to deal with. Due to the shallow door locations, your best bet is to stick with 6.5" drivers instead of the full 6.75" models. This has two benfits! Firstly, 6.5" drivers are often shallower than their 6.75" brethren, even of the same make and model. Secondly, you usually need an adapter to go from a 6.75" hole to a 6.5" speaker basket, and the added thickness of this spacer often loosens you up by another .175" at least, sometimes as much as a whole 1" depending on what kind of spacer you use!

If you decide to use component speakers, keep a close eye on the tweeter size if you plan on using the A-pillar location. All Infinity Kappa and Reference series tweeters (to date) fit in that location just fine, so anything under 1" will most likely fit. You may be able to get away with something bigger, but don't push you r luck. Whatever you do, don't leave the stock tweeters in place if you upgrade the front speakers, even if you just replace the door units. This may cause damage to the stock tweeters, and we don't know why. Just pop off the cover and unplug the darned things if you ever plan on going back to stock.

The rear deck is pretty much open, do whatever you like. If you're an SQ fanatic, you'll probably just remove the stock speakers and leave them out. If you're normal, and like as much sound as you can get, you probably want to replace the rear speakers with some quality coaxials or maybe just midbasses from a component set. Again, a 6.5" speaker opens your options even further, but you will probably want an adapter; don't worry about depth fitment, you'll be fine with the shallow adapters, but don't use a tall one like for the front doors.[/quote]

if your doing subs plz make your own box...prefabricated boxs sound like crappand building you own box is soo easy...if you decide on subs and give me the max measure ments of your trunk i can design you one...giving you all the cutout sizes and all....boxes are %75 of the sound crated by a woofer and will get louder, lower and sound better than anyone that was bought ina store

nah just take the measurements yourself....Height depth width

umm in order to design a box tho i needa know what subs you will be buying to use the correct specifications....

whats your budget on that end? lol

1 good 12" sub hits hard in the right box

for instance my 1 12" L7 in my box hits harder than all of my friends and they all have 15"s and multiplie 12"s in there cars

so lemme know

haha that's funny..well, I'm going to get the new door speakers on Sunday, so I'll see what my budget looks like after that's done. By that time, I'll give you the dimensions and let you know what brand I had in mind!
