speaker suggestions?

i'm going out this weekend to buy new speakers b/c my stock ones are just about shot... any suggestions? also, does anyone know what sizes the front and back speakers are (i have a '98 le). i am at school right now... which is 4 hours away from my car

i have 4 pioneer speakers, 240 watts i got them at walmart for 40 bucks. i think they sound good, no distortion and bass is good to. i did have subs but that was way to much over kill for me, i dont like my music to loud.

6.5 in rear and 6.75 in the front but good luck finding thouse but i have heard that circut city has an adapter bracket, but screw that i just the 6.5s in the front and drilled new mounting holes in the lil speaker pod

MB Quart are great for the money. i also like Focal.

if there is one thing you dont want to cheap out on, its speakers.

6.5" the whole way round. if money is tight, go with a nicer set up front and cheaper in the rear. Infinity, Eclipse, Kicker, all good choices (personal experience)

Alpine ALL THE WAY I love them. There not to cheap but they are good.YOu get what you pay.

i picked up some Polk db651's on sale buy 1 pair get the other half off. 6.5" fit both the rear and front speakers. pics will be on my cardomain soon enough

no joke..we were chillen at bestbuy looking at new ones for my car..we compared them and pinoeers..infinity kills it, way clearer and a whole lot more range..i got pinoneers, im probably switching to infinity

I went the cheap way and got a set of 6.5 inch Sony Xplods....I'm an idiot, decent quality though.

Go to some audio stores and take a listen. As you can see you're getting many different suggestions. One person mentioned Alpine and I will gladly pass by most anything Alpine. They do not sound good to me and are too much for what they deliver IMO.

I will second Infinity,Polk and Focal. If you're l33t, check out Seas Lotus.

Focal if you can afford the K2 powers. Polk and Boston are ok. I've also heard good things about MTX's new line.

Are you getting an amp too?

yeah i was gonna get an amp eventually. probably rockford fosgate b/c i already have 2 punch p1 subs that i'm gonna put in. i haven't taken them out of the box yet so i was kinda playing with the idea of selling those and picking up some polk subs so that my sound system would be all polk
