Im a new user to this and my dad has a 1991 Nissan 240 sx se which will be mine hopefully and i was thinking on replacing the speakers. I know the front are 4x6 the back too, but im not sure were the rear speakers are i have never really looked for them. Where are they? Also what are a few good ways to get some cheap easy hp. What is "active speaker".

Coupe or Hatchback? If it's a hatch, you'll see these little plastic pieces of trim with slots in them... that would be the grill, and you can carefully pry that off to reveal the plates back there. FWIW, unless you absolutely need to, don't upgrade the rears. It's a waste.

Active speakers mean the speakers were powered by OEM amps (which suck). You'll either need to bypass those or run new cables if you want any decent sound out of your speakers. Or you could do both if the stock 30awg wire aint your thing There's a thread somewhere around here that shows you how to bypass the amps in the rear... search!

That would depend on your skill level and your definition of "easy". This isn't really an appropriate forum for that question though. You'll have better luck if you post in 240 General.

Off the top of my head though, you could get rid of the mechanical fan for some electricals, use a 300zx fuel filter, remove the AICV, remove secondary butterflies... strip interior/spare tire. You're not really gaining hp, but rather freeing it up as these mods help with the stock restriction. There's also the SeaFoam treatment.

Search first because all of these should have been covered in prior threads.
