Speaker replacement on a 2010 ex35

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hello everybody i will like to know about a speaker replacement on a ex35 2010. I know you can change the factory speakers to a much better sound speakers, but my only problem is i don't no the exact size for the front set and rear set speakers. If anybody know the exact size speakers i need it will really help me save time ordering them thank you.

If you do, make sure you get 2 ohm speakers otherwise the volume will be really low. So low that you'll want to switch back to the stock Bose speakers.

If you have the Drivers' Audio Stage, you actually have 2 10" woofers in the doors. The software in the EX can actually replicate a dolby 2.1 system better than pretty much anything on the market.

The DAS system has 10 speakers within the cabin. The main sound is carried in the front doors: 3″ neodymium-magnet tweeter/midrange units, 1″ soft-dome tweeters, and 10″ neodymium-magnet woofers. The rear doors sport 6.5″ full-range fill speakers, the parcel shelf boasts a 10″ self-powered woofer, and there’s a third 3″ mid/tweeter in the center just to ‘fix’ the center image

There is some DSP involved to make the sound better as well.

steve the tech i have a journey package with only two speakers on the front side door two in rear doors and two in dash board. i dont think i have driver audio system you talked about. so what size speakers do you think i have and would i be able to change them to like a better quality speaker. i will only like to change the ones i can but the dash will stay there to much work to get to those two.

Sorry about the parcel shelf that was from the G forum. Same system but your sub is in the spare tire.

I forget how the packages on the EX go but if you go into SETTING---AUDIO---SCROLL DOWN. You will see either Drivers Audio Stage, or Precision Phased Audio.

The DAS systems is a decent system and works well but like many of you I too feel there is always room for improvement. However unless you are ready to open the check book and make in investment, you are going to have a hell of a time finding better mids and highs that will sound better. Bass is easy if that is what your looking for.

Speaking of that, what does Precision Phased Audio do exactly? I have that in my settings, so I guess that option is there if you have regular 6 speaker setup (who makes speakers for this regular setup btw? I quite like them for being just a base model speakers).

I keep Precision Phased Audio on all the time because the sound seem a lot better that way, this is some kind of DSP, I guess?
