It could be the trim is rattling. I had to fix mine with foam tape where the panels meet.

i don't think the speakers are blown... it still sounds okay - once the speakers are blown, it outputs a distorted sound... doesn't it?

i agree with joe603 and think it is the trims or the areas around it that are causing the noise..i've tried to check it by pushing down on places that may "rattle" ... but still the rattle exists...

it's not a HUGE problem.. i just wanted to know if anyone else had any similar problem... and if anyone fixed it... joe603, was it the backspeakers that was causing the noise?? if so.. how did you get to the speakers?? and how did you use the foam tape to stop the noise?? thanks!

Well for me, it was my subs creating the rattle. I tracked the noise down to the rear trim area where the side panel meets the rear deck. I didn't notice anything coming from the rear 6x9's.

infinitis are very very bad with rattles. i did at least 2 rattles a day. and it really sucks because infiniti doesn't pay crap for them. infiniti doesn't compare to lexus when it comes to rattles...my roomates 2000 is300 has no rattles whatsoever and its got 140k miles.

but sounds like the rear deck rattle...there is actually a bulletin on some g's for it...it required removing the rear parcel shelf

Sure it's not the pass side seat belt?

I had the gf smack it the other day and it did stop. I also notice it there even when the stereo is off but the road condition is just right. Maybe the only fix is to pull the door panel and do some troubleshooting on whatever is rattling in there...

my problem is as infinitech suggested, its not the speakers that's causing the rattle, it's the fitting of the rear shelf... because i hear the rattle on bumpy roads...

I have NO idea what so ever on how to get at it... could some one tell me how i can get to the rear shelf??? i'm gussing i have to go through the trunk.. but where are the "plugs" or screws that i need to take out?

infinitec.. can you give me instructions to remove the rear parcel shelf?? or anyone???
