For the past week my back factory subs vibrate like crazy when Im idle, at low rpms (below 2500), and sometimes at high rpms. Is it just my exhaust rattling them? Anyway to stop the rattling? I noticed that when I press down on them, the vibration goes away. Excuse my stupidity, but I have no knowledge of audio stuff.

My guess is that they are getting old, or that they have come loose and need to be screwed down better. I replaced my old back board and customized it while I was at, cut the metal and spacing out room for 4 6x9's. To tighten them you might try gluing some wood under the back board in the trunk and screwing through the old board into the new wood to give it a tighter seal.If your talking about pushing on the speaker itself to stop the vibration noise that is a blown speaker. Time for an up grade.

mine wouldn't tighten, they sounded like they were blown, but than i put paper towels between the plastic and speaker and it is better, wow the front stock speakers are pretty good!

Check the magnets.. They maybe loose.. I dont know too much bout the factory subs.. but on cheap subs that are stamped out for the frame.. The magnet gets loose after a while and they rattle bad...
