Can you guys give me some suggestions on speaker placement for a '95 240sx? I am planning on getting a 3 way component set for just the front and wanted some input. I already have stock tweeters in the A pillars so that is most likely where I will have the aftermarket tweeters installed. As for the 2 mids, 1 will probably go in the stock location, but I have no idea where the other mid should go. The reason I want a 3 way set is because I don't plan on getting a sub for a while so having a midrange and a midbass will have to do for now (can't afford an HO alternator, another amp, caps, etc.)

Unless you want to do a big nasty door overhaul, I think you'll have to seee if anyone makes pods for the kick panels. You might want to check with your local car stereo shop and see what ideas they have.

Also, search for fiberglass pods online and see if you find anything reasonable??

What about subs for the trunk? I just realized how small the trunk is on an S14. Anyone on here who has managed to fit a sub in the trunk? The trunk is so small and not even flat. I'm assuming its the wheel that causes this rectangular protrusion midway into the trunk. They should have made the trunk a bit bigger. I'm not even sure if I can fit a 10in sub with an enclosure in there.

You can fit a sub in the trunk, just depends on what you want it to sound like combined with how much trunk space you wat to give up? Kicker used to make some nice subs for really small enclosures. Not sure if they or who does nowadays, but I'm sure someone does.

Take some scrap carboard and make up a "mock box" to see what can fit and where. Also, you might try searching car domain or sound domain for ideas.
