Hello. I bought 4 new speakers for my car. None have speaker mounts. It has metal to metal contact with the speakers. Well I have all of them hooked up and it play for a little bit and it cut out. After taking one of the rear speaker out it work. What can I do to get the 4th speaker back in there working? Would speaker mounts do it? or do I need to do something else?

It is possible that the speakers mounting chassis could be grounding and causing it to cut out. Try putting a layer of electrical tape on the lip of the speaker opening (car side) before installing and see if that helps.

Another idea, is swap the left and right speaker to see if the problem follows the speaker or stays with the location.
