hey guys well i ended up buys a set of phoenix gold component speakers. they are rms-50 and max-200 but in the instruction it has a pic of an amp connected to them. Does that mean that i need to run an amp to them or is it just in the pictures?

A discrete amplifier will pretty much always sound better than running the speakers off your head unit, but you should still be able to do it without any problems.

It also might be possible, depending on your crossover, to bi-amp your components with your headunit if you're not running, or not needing to run rear speakers.
