I just bought a 98 240sx and the driver side speaker doesn't work, they are aftermarket speakers. I'd like some troubleshooting tips.

Thanks

Check the wiring behind the radio and in the trunk where the amp was. If those are fine, then pull the door panel and make sure the connections on the back of the speaker are good.

You can check the speaker itself using a AA battery and touching the speakers +/- leads to the battery. Should make the speaker "pop". If the speaker does not move then the voice coil is frozen up and you should replace them.
