Stock is .044 but are there any improvements to be had by going bigger then stock? I read better gas mileage and better HP but it was referring specially to gapping wider and using the HKS spark amplifier.

Anyone know for sure?

I say there is room for minor adjustments. I know on my turbo sentra, spark gap makes a tremendous difference on the behavior of horsepower gains/loss. But then there becomes a point where the gap is too big and the spark is blown out before complete ignition or worse you start making too much power and affect a/f ratio and cause detonation. The G's stock ecu allows the car to run lean, so you might get more detonation than anything, especially if you don't use premium fuel. Try it and see what happens.
