i just wired in my aem fic on my 91 240sx with a ka24det. the day i wired in the fic i has it running and was able to tune it well but the next day i go out to work on it some more and it wouldn’t fire up. it would turn and just crank but no start. i checked over my wiring and made sure nothing come loose or anything, even tho i soldered everything and taped it off. i was getting good readings for everything on my computer but i pulled a plug wire and i wasn’t getting any spark. i pulled the wire off the coil to the distributor and i’m getting spark there but not to the individual wires. when wiring up the fic i wired in my crank halo and hali wires in the to crank reference wires at first and it wouldn’t start so i connected the wires from the ecu back to the way they were before. i then tried intercepting the wires to the crank position sensor and it worked fine so that’s how i kept it to tune in. could something have went wrong there causing me not to get spark now? i’m stumped on what it could be and i really need to get her back on the road. any help would be appreciated!

I'd start by just popping off your distributor cap and seeing if you cooked something in there...

i just took off the cap and rotor and checked everything out it all looked pretty new and in good shape to me. also i pulled off the cover to the cas and checked it out to see if there was oil or anything in there it looks brand new. i think i might have an issue in my wiring somewhere but i don’t understand what would cause it to run and then just stop even tho i didn’t touch anything overnight. maybe the battery is too low because now the battery is bein drained and i have to jump it off.

Code 11 is Crank Angle Sensor
Code 21 is Ignition Signal Circuit

I'm trying to think off the top of my head what could be causing this. Have you tried a different distributor or Crank Sensor? I am wondering if when on the KA the crank sensor dies or malfunctions, it wont allow the distributor to trigger the individual leads for the plug wires?

i haven’t tried a different distributor or cas, i don’t have access to one unless i go get a new one so i’d rather figure out the problem before throwing money at it.

I understand. Wish I had one laying around, I would send you one to try and if it worked have you pay me then. Someone must be willing to hook you up. There are a ton of great guys here.
