I was running my car a little hard last night, and it decided to crap out on me.First of all, the wastegate line came off, but that has turned out to not be the main problem..

OK, I have narrowed my problem down to Spark though. There is NO spark.

I am running an MSD BTM, so I think this might be related to it. I am guessing that when my wastegate line came off, the BTM retarded the crap out of my timing, and something screwed up.

All I know is that there is no spark. My car had been running great for a few weeks before tonight though.

I don't understand why there would all of a sudden be no spark.

If anyone has input, please help

So it's just cranking and cranking and not firing? Did you check the plugs directly to see if it isn't sparking, or is it just not running?

When the wastegate line came off did you over boost? Hate to think about it, but you could have blown something. Like all the compression out of your motor. Maybe blew the ring lands or worse.

I would check all the wiring over a couple times. Spark control is highly electrical as opposed to mechanical and (in my opinion) destined to be more prone to failure. Just look for something popped off.

BTW, weren't you having problems not getting spark a few weeks or so ago?

I've checked everything. fuel/compression, everything. Spark is the only non-existant thing.

I have taken the plugs out, to see if they're sparking...

well, the resistor that's on the ignition harness is bad. So, I'm hoping that's the root of all my problems. I'm guessing the BTM could have had something to do with frying this resistor...
