If you can't get what you want, just go to your auto store and ask for some platnium plugs for a 1988 nissan pulsar with ca18de engine, they are the same.

Personally, I love the platinum, but as sdtouge said, they are a bit more expensive, but I believe they are well worth to have them.

I am not sure about the part # though,Front experince, I have seen platinum on DSM eagle talon and the car ran like ****, had to install the stock type back on and car runs awesome, very common on dsm eagle talon,

I was always conditioned to never use platinum plugs on a turbo car. Stick with the cheap copper NGKs.

Im using the S12 1.8 turbo exhaust side plugs, works fine to me. I think they are the BCPR6ES-11...

so you guys get the de or the et plugs, and from a 88?

i still dont underwatnd why it would run like crap wit the plantinum. there still ngk, just better, i though plaitunm or iriduim are suppost to be the "shizzle"

so are you guys recomending just normal ngk ones, just standard ones?

Spark plugs

CA18DET NGK PFR6A-11 This is an original platinum tip and resistor type plug and is fine for standard boost, should never need changing. Gap is set to 1.1mm

SR20DET NGK PFR6B-9 This is an original platinum tip and resistor type plug and is fine for standard boost, should never need changing. Gap is set to 0.9mm

NGK BCP6ES-11 or BCP7ES-11 ( colder ) A normal type non resistor plug, better with high boost. It has the same temperature rating, thread and reach as the above. The resistor type plugs can apparently misfire at high boost. Change at 40,000km intervals. Set gap to 1.0mm

I have a set of BCPR6ES-11 and a set of BCPR7ES-11 and at .9 bar w/ a t28 the colder plugs are required. I get hesitation with the hotter (6) plugs. Screw the platinum and iridium plugs, they cost like 10X more.
