Well, yer lookin' at them in the pic! I haven't thought of selling them, but I probably have enough material to do 8-10 sets. What do you think it's worth?? I noticed one hell of an improvement in idle and response time ... I may have had a bad wire in the OEM set to begin with. And absolutely no radio interference :)

I'm interested in a set for the KA24DE if the price is right. And the question remains... terminals or no terminals?

I don't know how that post duplicated itself ...

I have to give more thought on making these wires for you guys. I hadn't planned on it; my "want some" statement was really just sarcasm (sp?). I'll explore more on Monday or Tuesday and let you all know what I decide to do. Thanks for the interest ... I'm guessing there isn't many options for plug wires out there, huh?

Well, I have a crimp tool specifically made for spark plug wire connectors. I purchased the spool directly from Moroso when I had a business account with them last year; I used to own a local speed shop and raced Pro Stock (FWD) NIRA, 2001/02. Long story short, my first business partner screwed me with debt, so I left the business and swear oath that I will hurt him REAL bad on sight. My second biz-part (the good guy) still has the shop; I have full access.

Not too hard to make ... I did reuse my connectors where they meet the spark plugs since the local shop had zero. The connectors at the dis are new.

Scotty, I'm interested in the process of making the wires. I to will be opening up a speed shop in a few months. Being able to do custom spark plug wires, or even just vehicle specific would be pretty cool. So if you could hook me up with some info I would be very greatful. email or post will work.

ThxWD

HONDAS??!! Oh dear God NO! We were the "domestic" guys ... the black CNNP Racing Dodge Neon ... we took 2nd place in points overall in both NIRA and IDRC for 2001. But, don't get me started ... I don't EVER want to see another Neon again in my life! Driver took the race car and $800 (currently sponsored by Mopar in NDRA ... don't ask), I sold the street car (a 96 Neon, mine, 11.96 all motor 2.0 w/ no weight reduction), partner stuck me with the debt ($45,000.), I filed bankruptcy (the end). Good times, baaaad ending ... movin' on.

Anyhow, I always had a thing for the 240's lines and potential; I don't classify myself as either a domestic or import guy. Whatever it is, I'll make it fast(er). The turbo thing is a little new to me as I've always been a NA performer, but that is where my good friend Garry comes in (the "good" parnter). Garry is the driver/car owner for the WrighTouch Racing team (check out the pics) and current owner of Speed Injected, the speed shop I formed with him late 2001, but bowed out due to financial difficulties ... ahem. Speed Injected's specialty is Mitsubishi's, and some damn fast ones. However, a certain little Nissan I know of will be added to that roster very soon. Garry also kept the in-house dyno. Anyway, that's the story in a nutshell.

Making the sparkplug wires is no big trick ... you just need the tools and the know-how.

I simply haven't had time to look into getting connectors ... hopefully soon (I'm working the next 7 days straight). The thing is, at this time, I would need your (those interested) OEM wires so the s/p boots can be reused. Might have to reuse the straight connectors on the s/p side too. The distributer boots are generic. Quite honestly, you're looking at about $60 a set ... not bad all things considered for 8.65mm wires. More thoughts?

we just need plug clips, and we can re-use our plug boots, right?

Boots can be reused so long as they are in good condition. Clips (I call them connectors) can also be reused which is what I did on the s/p end. I used new ones on the distributer end. It's just a little more work to "reuse" things.

Hate to bring this up, but a friend of mine with a pretty nasty turbo Talon was using the Moroso wire and when he cranked the boost up to 18 psi, the wires couldn't keep up. I know this for sure because he replaced the spark plugs....no change. Went and bought some MSD wires....when he cut both apart, the actual center core of the MSD wire was about twice as thick as the Moroso wire. He put the new wires on...cranked it to 22 psi and no cutting out.

Just wanted to share the info. I saw it first hand.

I'll keep that in mind ... never had that problem before, but usually when you do, you take it to heart. I'll keep an eye on them during dyno time. Actually, we had a hard time dyno'ing cars using Mag's ... so well insulated we had to replace the reading wire with an OEM during dyno ... go figure! Magnecor makes some very good wires.

I'm sure the Morosos are still a good deal better than stock....remember...this guy was pushing some serious power...so most people won't have to worry about that. He was right at 400 at the wheels.

what about my idea?? if i decide to buy all the stuff in bulk would anybody be interested in getting a good deal from me? $40-50 for full wires with boots and terminals connected. note: i could also use the magnecore wire which i was impressed with their quality i just need to kno where to buy some. i emailed magnecor earlier this week and they werent much help, they kinda pointed me in the direction of their premade wires.

I am aiming for 490whp+ ... we just dyno'd a 2nd gen Eclipse the other day at 530whp using basically the same setup as mine including the Pauter rods, but w/ Wiseco pistons ... sick! Obviously different engines, but same physics :D
