What does pulling the spark plug wires one at a time while the engine is running technically do?

if your rpm's dont drop significantly when u pull one of the spark plug wires then that cylinder isnt firing. Then you have to figure out if its spark or fuel or sumtin

i see... is this a good way to check if one of your injectors are bad?

If the cable is worn...you will receive a good jolt and probably smack your head to the hood.
