speaking of plugs just curious if anyone has changed out the plugs on a 3.5 just wondering how fun it was taking off the intake manifold to get to the back 3 plugs

Yup, 3.5 owners (along with Nissan Murano, Maxima owners, and any other Nissan vehicle with a transverse V6) have the fun of removing the intake manifold to get to the rear bank's 3 spark plugs.

In terms of the OP's original request... the Altima is equipped with an Iridium plug and won't need replacement until 100K miles. Why change now? But if you really want to change, try sparkplugs.com. The NGK models that you can use are LFR5AIX-11 ($8.49 each) or DILFR5C11 (double fine iridium tips - $21.29 each.)

the car is only a few years old, unless the cars got like 60k or is running poorly i wouldn't change them. if you do it you need to replace the spark plug wires as well

Hey girl! Go to your local Advance Auto Parts and hve them look up plugs for an older sentra SE-R.It's the same motor. Get the Pulstar, $50 for a set of 2. But it's suppose to give you a few extra ponies. I'm gonna them at some point.

**edit**correction, it's $25 for a pair.

I just did this at 120k. Advance/Autozone could not get the correct, OEM plug. So, I bought plugs thru Mossy Nissan, NissanParts-U:Reg @ Parts U (Mossy Nissan, Poway CA) was right, that Nissan Part #22401-JA01B is the NGK DILKAR6A11 plug. Cost was $8.80 ea/$44.70 shipped.

FWIW, my plugs looked great at 100k and not any different at 120k.
