so, i decided to replace the plugs on my Y33 (99 Q45t)

i replaced what appeared to be the stock plugs with Bosch Platinums, well half of them at least. i was planning on doing the other half tomorrow (since its such a pain in the ***).

but ever since i replaced the passenger side with the Bosch plugs, it feels like it is misfiring or idling rough or something.

it's not a consistent hesitation, and it only happens every now and then. sometimes its barely noticeable...sometimes it feels pretty bad.

questions are, why is it doin this?do the sparkplugs need to be gapped?is it because i only changed out half of them?does it even matter that only half are changed?are these plugs bad for my car?

im asking this with a little urgency becase i plan on swapping the rest of the plugs tomorrow to see if this fixes it.

any help would be greatly appreciated

well, i just read around a few threads and i see a few other people have had the exact same problem

but i cant find a clear and honest answer as to what it could be

is it fuel?transmission filter?transmission is dirty?

what is the solution?

im just worried, and i hope it's not something that's going to do serious damage to my engine/transmission

Bosch Sparkplugs simply dont work well in a Q45.

Many have had similiar problems.

Thats not to say thats the only problem but I wouldnt be surprised.Oone of us called Bosch once and even they recommended against using their plugs!

Use NGK or Denso.

people are also having bosch spark plugs over at honda tech and describe the same exact problem like you.

some even claim that bosch sucks with imports

try ngk, gap them and you'll be fine

Get the correct plugs and you don't have to gap them. Nissan recommends this specifically (i.e. - do not gap the plugs, nor clean them with acustic or acidic solutions, nor abrade them).

Did you get a PayPal receipt?

Wes is very conscientious about getting them sent ASAP.

Didn't use paypal, but instead sent him a USPS M.O.

I still have the stub+receipt.
