So i did a search and i didnt come up with anything. I got some BCPR6EY-11"s ( Copper plug ) which are a colder spark on the plug and some of the gaps arent the same. What is the recommended spark plug gap on the RB25DET? I looked in the FSM and it doesnt say either.

I used a set of densos which were 1.64 each for a 89 300zx twin turbo.

What plug and gap would be good for a higher powered RB25? I know that NGK 6953 are good for a stock RB.

you should not be using z32 plugs.the proper plugs for the rb20/25/26 are from a z31 turbo.iirc i run bpcr7e plugs in my car, but for most sock/moderate power cars bpcr6e plugs should be fine.

What is wrong with running the Z32 TT plugs on a RB26? I am running the BKR6E-11 NGK Coppers on mine. One of the sponsors from either this site or another highly suggested those as they were a good cross reference.....

Yeah from every post I have read people are using NGK BKR5E-11 for a stock engine. Im guessing a BKR4E-11 would be a colder plug and the one I should use.

if it works it works, but the z31 plugs are the direct oem copper replacement for the rb motors that originaly came with platinum plugs.also dont use a 5 heat range plug on an turbo rb, if you like detonation then go for it but idealy you should use a 6 heat range on a stock rb motor.on ngk plugs the higher the number the colder the plug so a 6 is colder than a 5 and a 7 is colder than a 6.

Carl I am pretty sure the NGK BCPR5EIX-11 is the stock plug for the RB25. At least that was the concensus in the replacement parts thread.

hrmmm, ok well if it works then it works like i said before.i took my stock platinums that were in my rb when i got it to the parts store and told them i wanted the copper equivalents so thats what number they gave me, seems that its also the most popular one used on skylinesaustralia.

The BCPR6E and the BCPR5EIX-11 looks like they would both work. the BCPR5EIX-11 just has a fine electrode where the other has the V-power electrode. The BCPR5EIX-11 also costs $7 per plug vs $2 on the BCPR6E
