Spark plug gap shrinks

ok i been running bkr6eix and i gap them at .30 run the car for a while month or so notice the engine running different so i took off the spark plugs and the gap shrinks done this twice and i have another set that came with the car platuims does the same to them also same heat range any clue? i running an sr20det basicly stock

I imagine the only thing that would cause that would be the piston actually contacting them. I would double/triple check the spark plug specs (length).

i ws gona go with the same info man..did you by chance change the headgasket before you had this issue..if ya did..you might have a thinner gasket issue.

they regap to 24 i haven't done anything to the motor

get some BKR7E and gap them to 30 Try that and see what happens. GL

thanks guys i bought some ik22 when i took off the BKR6EIX they did not shrink i noticed the ik22 where a bit smaller so i tried them on the engine sounded a bit different better and the motor did not vibrate as much on ideal or around 3000 rpms anymore the ik22 where pregaped at .28
