I just got some iridium spark plugs for my stock '95 and i wanted to make sure what gap to set it.some people say from .039 to .043 and some say it should just be at .044i checked autozone.com and they have a spec of.044i checked the gap on my plugs and they're at .040i've heard also that these come pre-gapped and some people say you have to gap it yourself.

anyone know what the correct gap should be and whether or not i should gap these things?

what is the difference if i left the spark plugs at .040 instead of gapping them at .044 like some people said?

Not much...just leave them. I've never used iridium plugs (probably never will) but they should be factory pre-gapped similar to a platinum plug. Regardless, the difference between .40 and .44 is negligible.

alright, i think i'll just keep the gap from NGK, thanks unnatural idiot :) er. . . unnatural and idiot =P

anyone know the torque specs of the plugs and if i could change the gap after i find out it might not work? would the heat from using it harden the metal or anything to where i wouldn't be able to gap afterward?
