There has been a history of sorts with people who have used plugs other than OEM. Even if you pay extra for a set that is somehow 'better' than OEM, consider this. You are working on a car that has rep for being picky when it comes to compatibility. Your car was engineered and programmed with a particular spark plug. It would be a shame to go through what will be a knuckle scraping, head scratching chore, only to find that the 'other' brand you bought doesn't work properly and you have to repeat that horrible experience again just to remove and return the plugs. Unless you plan to keep the car for another 100lk miles, this is the only time you will ever change plugs so why not just use OEM?
EG: When I had the dealer change plugs in my M35, I specifically asked for the more expensive, newer version OEM plugs. I was advised by the tech that my engine will run better and smoother with the OEM plug, even though they cost less.
