I have a 2009 G37S Coupe with Stillen Dual Cold Air Intakes. The car is stock other than the intakes and some 20"MRR Wheels. I have always used Premium gas (93 Octane) in my vehicle. It has roughly 47000 miles and for the last 4k-5k miles I have noticed what sounds like spark knock when I take off at a low rate of speed, & I have also noticed some lag in my acceleration at certain RPM levels. I took it to the Dealership that I bought the car from and they told me it was definitely spark knock and that I needed to try gas from a different gas station. I have never put mid grade or anything less than premium fuel in my car. I have tried several different stations but feel like premium fuel is premium fuel!! I cant get rid of this so called spark knock to save my life!! I have even tried gas and fuel additives that the dealer recommended with no positive results. I think there is something else wrong with my car!! The way I see it is that I have ran the same gas in the car for over 37000 miles and never had any issues!! Any help or suggestions would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

First thing I would try is doing an ECU reset as your air/fuel ratio might be messed up and it's the easiest thing to do.

When i bought the g37 coupe as a demo car, it made a huge difference after doing the ECU reset.

Here's one way...I've never tried it as I can reset via my Cobb

1) With the key in your pocket/car, push the Engine Start button TWICE (so the car is fully on, but not started)
2) Within three seconds of the car "ON" (again NOT started), Floor (all the way down) and Release the gas pedal fully 5 times within 5 seconds. Do not do this too fast.. 1..2..3..4..5
3) Wait 7 seconds then floor the gas pedal and hold for 10 seconds. After that 10 seconds the Check Engine Light will start to blink slowly.
4) Release the pedal and floor it down once again and hold for 10 seconds. After these 10 seconds the check engine light will disappear then begin to flash much more rapidly. After you have done the following turn the car off and then back on. The ECU is now reset!!
