Spark and Fuel, but no start

i've got a sohc 240 that isn't starting. I am getting fuel and spark. I verified both. fully charged battery, but it just turns won't fire up. new coil, new plugs, new wires. im so confused

did you make sure you plugs are on tight and clicked. also check main center plug from dist. on both ends. mine was loose once and car would not start.

Have you done any work on it. Try checking the fuel lines. That was my exact problem a couple months ago and i ended up having the lines switched.

you checked fuel pressure at the lines, but did you check the injectors for signal? u can have line pressure but if there is no power to injectors then no fuel going in

well i can smell fuel on the plugs, and when i pulled the plugs i could see fuel being sprayed in

is it a strong spark?. if it is a weak spark it may be orange in color, strong spark would be blue or whitish. i had the same problem with a volkswagen. checking this may yield some leads

Yes it has strong spark. I just replaced the coil and the sparj is blue/white

Any work done prior to this occuring. Or did this just happen? Use a Small spray of ether and if it pops you have a fuel problem.

you need to check your timing and compression too

i dont have a timing light or compression tester at the moment but the timing chain is tight, distributor is tight, and im pretty sure the compression is ok

verified spark and fuel today. replaced fuel filter even tried spraying ether

i think know what is wrong.........go see if you can push start it and if it starts then it would have to be your Coolant Temperature Sensor....the same thing happen to me and my buddy told me about it and i changed it and problem solve. http://www.autozone.com/autozo...30067
