Spare Tire Bubble

I was just wondering if anybody knew what is under the s13 spare tire bubble. I was going to cut it out so I could flushmount my sub. Thanks a lot.

Gas tank?? Not really sure, I guess only way to find out is run to a junkyard with a portable drill and jigsaw and cut away and see whats under there.

actually know there isnt anything under the rearward part of the spare tire well. which makes me think the front could be clear too.
