Does anyone in the Miami area have spare cranks for sale, in good condition (STD-ish, or at least still above +0.25mm undersize)?
Dee? :)

It needs some cleaning (very light rust), but it's still sports the standard bearings. If you want I can clean it up in my spare time and even polish the journals if you want to pay for that type of stuff. But in short, I do have a spare that's been catching dust for years. Let me know.

It sounds promising. In any case, No cleaning or polishing necessary, thank you, just a nice, safe packaging. I would need it sent to or dropped off at an address on NW 72nd Ave, whichever you prefer.
What is the price you have in mind for packaging+transport+your trouble?

It's still for sale, but I've PM'd blown to see if he is still interested. I completely over-looked this thread and never replied, but if he quenched his thirst for one, I'll show you some love on it.

I would guesstimate between $25 and $40.

Just go ahead, guys!
I was getting some heavy stuff in a shared container shipment, but there was a close deadline on it, so with no news on the crank, I gave the shipment the go without it. As strange as it may sound, we're seriously running out of usable cranks around here. Some people are going as far as installing CD17 cranks instead...

MUST BUY NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANTS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN HAS MONIES TO SPEND!!!!!!!!!!!

I can clean it myself on a lathe at school. We have some stupid fine emory cloth, I think about like 4000 grit so I can spin it between centers and polish the journals using that cloth and some tooling oil

Never mind, I can probably score one from sxoc, they pop up there, too, every once in a while. Shipping's a b****, though, costs more than the crank itself... :)

It's a problem with "rare" sportscars around here, and not just with Nissans or 200SXs. After the iron curtain fell, and stuff from the West slowly started flowing in, most of these vehicles found their way first into the hands of the more wealthy, and their spoiled kids, who, with absolutely no knowledge and no intent to maintain them, ran most of them into the ground. It's only happening nowadays that they are getting to more deserving owners, but the damage is already done.
I've got my car too with a crank a bit outside of 2nd undersize, bought a spare engine some time later, same thing. I couldn't find a single crank around here. Either there isn't any, or someone is strategically stockpiling them. Ended up buying one "blind" from sxoc. It turned out fine, thank God, but I'd be more relaxed, if I had a spare STD-ish one.

Okay dude, you're next in line. Give me an email address and we'll do magical things from there. Most of you may already know that us mods don't discuss $$$s in the eyes of the CA family. Some things just have to stay private, feel me :yesnod !
