So I'm a new infiniti g35 owner and have had the car for about 2 weeks now. I noticed a rattle coming from the rear left exhaust mount and figure it's either the mount is loose and needs to be tightened or it's the heat shield. Upon inspecting them I noticed that it was harder to fit my arm behind the tire on the right side than the left to check the mounts. I got my tape measure and noticed the rear left tire tread was 2 inches from the front of the wheel well and around 3 inches from the rear while on the right side it's roughly even at 2.25 inches either side. This is intriguing to me since the car has a clean accident free car fax report and doesn't have any issues driving wise. Any information would be great.

Did you have the vehicle inspected by an Infiniti dealer prior to purchase?

Did you receive any kind of warranty on the purchase?

With anything that is free you usually get what you pay for.

Have an Infiniti dealer run the VIN number for you

Good luck

No the warranty would've been another 2000 on top of the cost of the car and I didn't have the money. I fixed the rattle since all that was causing it was the bolt wasn't tight enough on the bracket so I added some rubber washers and tightened it down so it doesn't rattle anymore. I will take it up to get inspected soon. I have to get it registered in dc before the 30 day tags expire on the 21st of this month. Other than that it runs well just hard to believe epa rates the vehicle at around 18 city 27 highway and I've been getting 17.8 doing my occasional driving.
