Space under the rear seat cushion?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi all

I have a small flat subwoofer (2.5 inch high x 8 wide x 12 long) and amp combo that used to be in my other car. I have in the EX the Bose system with subwoofers already installed in the spare tire. I am looking to use my combo to provide extra omphh to the sound. Install is no biggy but I was wondering where? I need as much trunk space and there is not enough room under the front set. <<

As anyone ever lifted the rear seat cushion *where our bums are*? Is there a lot of space there? Some cars have a lot of space there. Hence the question...

Thanks

Ice

I think installing it under the seat will deafen the sub sound significantly. I'd try to attach it to the rear seat backrests. That space is not used anyway since the seat is angled, especially if you have the trunk cover. The tricky part is to make it easily removable for the times when you need the trunk space.

You are correct. I will try that - that is where it was in my previous car (RSX). I also checked, there is no space under the cushion anyway.

Thanks
