Well in my opinion bose never made a subwoofer that was soley intended on supplying base. I am aaudio enthusiasts on a bucket budget. Honestly I like Kicker or JL subs in which i run an L7 Kicker w/ kicker box and a memphis amp. The combination is pretty loud.

This setup only takes up about a cubic foot of space in the cargo area

i just spent a little over $200 on a 12" infinity reference sub and a 1100 kenwood amp. I am going to eventually make a custom fiberglass box for it. I was orignally going to get a JL stealthbox but it is $500 for 10" 150 watt sub and no amp.

Infinity bass link will provide a minimal amount of bass, but it would sound better than nothing. I have a JL Audio 10W3 and small Alpine amp hooked up to my stock Bose and I can make my mirrors shake violently and set car alarms off when i'm driving. It's all in the brand name. If you want great sound, stick with proven companies like Boston acoustics (for door speakers) Alpine, JL Audio, Eclipe, Zapco, Orion, Pioneer.

I suggest you stay away from Sony, lightning audio, jensen, blaupunkt, audiovox, clarion (they make the bose disc changers, mine is busted lol), etc

If your looking for good sound, the basslink is really good, but if you really want to feel the bass, you need to get something more powerful.

I've heard a basslink, they sound good to strengthen the bass, but nothing too impressive.

When im getting my pathfinder running again, im putting in an Earthquake DBix 15" with a 1200 watt JBL amp, although I use a trailer to move anything, so space isnt an issue for me.
