Drop by on your way down.iluvmyVersa08 wrote:Last year took my V on a road trip to Myrtle Beach from Ontario ...This year, we're going in the family van ... much more room for luggage! But the V is definitely a much smoother and comfortable ride. Gonna miss not taking it with us. We'll be heading down at a different time though, we are leaving July 27 ... we won't see you on the road.
If you ever drive though Denver, be sure to stop by.srellim234 wrote:A combination of family things means another trip across the country for me starting next Saturday in the Versa. If you see the silver Versa SL with the California plates, give me a wave or a thumbs up. Tentative route is
15 south to San Diego.8 across AZ to the 10.10 all the way to Florida, spending time in Panama City Beach.
July 5 up to Chatanooga, then working my way back on the 40 to Oklahoma City with stops in Nashville, TN and Clinton, Arkansas. From there it's either up to the 70 and over to Colorado Springs or out the 40 to New Mexico and up the 25 to Colorado Springs. Not sure which way yet.
Not sure which way I'm coming home from Colorado yet, either (70 to the 15 in Utah or 25 to the 40 in NM).
I did the cross country thing to Florida and back last year in the Versa (4,503 miles, 31.8 mpg) but this trip is going to be a lot longer than that one.

20.5 hours, 3 guys, 2 dr Accord was too much for me. Left NC at 11pm and got to Mount Tremblant at like 7-8pm the next night, drove straight through. Of course this was in college, so we went striaght to the bar as soon as we got there and then 6 straight days of 8hrs of skiing and 5 hours of drinking each day.frankohabs wrote:Wimp!
I'm sure the guys would prefer if you didn't have that then.iluvmyVersa08 wrote:With the van we can shop all we want, lol.
Around here for 87 oct has been $2.55 per gallon, but that's still high compared to what it was a few months ago (when it went as low as $1.30). But VA and SC are usually $.10-.20 cheaper per gallon compared to NC, because of state taxes.iluvmyVersa08 wrote:Well the gas is certainly much cheaper here in the US than what we pay in Canada. I filled up the other day for 99.9 cents per litre. Here in Buffalo the price was about 2.70 per gallon! We are paying much more!
Ours had been up as high as $2.69, but think they finally figured out they are raping us enough for no reason. Biggest increase in 'peace time' without a disaster or anything. They had no reason to keep raising it, demand has even been low.iluvmyVersa08 wrote:That is a good price. Our gas was down in price before, but its summer. It tends to go up. It was over a $1.00 here last week.
Another trip is being planned for the Denver area and Colorado Springs again. I'll trade info with you and we can schedule coffee or something once the plans are a little more concrete.VersaMG08 wrote:If you ever drive though Denver, be sure to stop by.
Actually, it doesn't work like that so much anymore.iluvmyVersa08 wrote:That is a good price. Our gas was down in price before, but its summer. It tends to go up. It was over a $1.00 here last week.
