It's great satirical reply to a lot of the arguments that you see on places like Fox and MSNBC, as they use the exact same arguments with the same passion to display how ridiculous a lot of it is.
Face it, how many conservatives here actually watch MSNBC, and how many liberals actually watch Fox? An incredibly few, if any. But they argue passionately using the same arguments and terms based on "facts" they've only seen on their own one-sided viewing. In fact, the truth is somewhere inbetween the two and people need to see that their sides are skewing the truth to their viewpoint. For the most part people will only watch those with viewpoints they are comfortable with and won't watch anything with a truly open mind.
So, rather than watch so many people here go down the path of flaming each other and arguing ad nauseum presenting only those arguments they are blindly following, I preferred to inject a little humor and exaggeration into them.
aud- you and I have had some good exchanges, some that actually teach and are geared toward actually finding some middle ground or solutions to what we discuss. Too many people, however, are set on one side or the other without really searching for an acceptable compromise or solution to the problems discussed.
