South Florida Nissan Meet - April 1, 2006

We had a pretty good turnout last time (Nov. 05). 50+ cars, met lots of new faces, good food, perfect weather. This time, we're going a little further south, so you know what that means... it's going to be even BIGGER than the last one! There has been another Nissan meet/bbq held at this location before, so some of you might even be familiar with it already. Don't miss out!

Park Admission:$1.00 per PERSON (not vehicle)

Donations:PayPal: [email protected] will go towards renting the pavilion and for food & drinks. A considerable donation would be around $10 (which isn't much when you think about it... other events charge more and food isn't included).DISCLAIMER PLEASE BEHAVE RESPONSIBLY. NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED. LOUD MUSIC, BURNOUTS, DRIFTING, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. THIS IS A PARK, SO THERE WILL BE CHILDREN AROUND. that's not true. yeah, last meet there was no ka-t, but it doesn't mean no-one here wanted to see any. i know i did. hope you come, it would be nice to see some ka (t)'s

For those of you that are interested in going and haven't posted yet, please post. It would really help the ones organizing the event if they have a better idea of how many people are gonna show up.

This is the same date as the SC meet that has been planned for months. That may be a reason for such low response.

Also, this is the same date as the 2006 All-Nissan Nationals, hosted by NICO, in Phoenix.

I think there seems to be a misunderstanding. This meet is geared more for the local South Florida Nissan/Infiniti community. Hence, SFL240SX.com is the group responsible for setting it up. The last one was in November, and even though it was set up with short notice, there was plenty of response from the local community.

I hope now you know why we were concerned.

I understand that. But likewise, the SC meet is also a "local" meet. However, there have been people from the surrounding states responding that they will be attending. So for instance, some North FL people are about the same driving distance to either meet.

And as for the National meet in Phoenix...well....we have some really hardcore people that will fly/drive out there for that, even from the east coast. Last year Darrin (Forte) towed his G35 out there from IN. Also, a lot of us flew out there.

I just want you to be aware that that weekend is looking really busy, and that there may be slightly less interest in it than usual due to that fact.

But regardless, don't let me discourage you! I hope your meet is VERY successful. Post up pics afterwards!

im down for that meet.

ill be happy to throw a big cooler in my car and fill it with sodas, and grab a few thigns of food to throw on the grill.

anyone have suggestions for drinks? coke? pepsi? diet?

list your choice soda so i have a general idea what to pack

Might you be able to put it 1 week later or earlier? I would like to attend but didnt realize it was same date as the SC meet. I planned on driving up there (call me crazy) i have alot of nico friends up there

mmm I would like to take a trip to FLA, but I can't take 2 weekend off in a row from work. (I'm heading up the Greenville meet) If you have another one in November again let me know, might be up for a road trip

EDIT: DATE CHANGED (again)!!!The meet is now for April 1, 2006.

This is now confirmed by JRIVERA, who was able to reserve the pavilion. The other dates didn't have any large pavilions available.

Here's my post on SFL

Alright guys. Please don't kill me! I am going to reserve the pavilion this weekend. The lady doing the reservation is going to hold it for me so that saturday i can reserve. So this is pretty much official. Sucks because I have to reserve it in person.

However, March 11th there is a music festival going on and they are not booking any pavilions. March 25th, they only have a small pavilion available. But on April 1st, they have a large pavilion, #5, available. So that is the one i am going to reserve. Hope that day works for everyone. Sorry for the inconvenience but that's all that is available.

So the meet date is APRIL 1, 2006. Please note that on your calendar. Also, please donate, if possible, sooner than later. Food and drinks will be provided but guys (and girls), please keep in mind that costs for food and )drinks will be covered by donations.

can those who plan on attending pm me your e-mail address? i am probably getting a lists of e-mail addresses but i will send an e-mail as a reminder. thanks
