okay so let me start of my stating what i am running

1993 240sxca18detstock alternator3"dp3" exhaustblitz SUS filterstock catilyzerNO BOV-" blitz valve crapped on me"STOCK ka FUEL PUMPngk bkr6es11 currently running bcpr7es11self prepped harness," only extended maf and droping resistor."

okay so the motor was recently swappin in as of JAN 05. normal first start up phases, Priming and start up.

1) from the time of first start up till i actually had the motor running it seemed to bog at really low rpm even after i set timing to 15 degrees before tdc. I noticed that the motor ran worse after it had already warmed up so i tried sourcing problems from there, Ran ecu codes and got 23 (idle switch) and 45( leaky injector) weird thing was that i didnt have any leaks or debris anywhere near my injectors or fuel rail.

2) i continued to commute the car/motor to work almost everyday for about 2 months. started noticing weird reactions when i use random accesories in the car. At night when i turned on the lights, or when i turned on my electric fans it would bogg down really low ( 500rpm) sometimes it wouldnt react at all and run normal. I bought a boost gauge to see what i was boosting at and how much vacume my car was pulling, seemed normal.

3) under boost, the car would run fine. I'm not shure if it is the fact that i have 3" dp and exhaust on my car, but it seemed to lagg until about 3,000 rpm almost felt like the when im reaching boost the car studders for one moment.

4) i had just gotten off of work and went to a friend house about 20 minutes away from work, i had hte car sitting outside of his house with the turbo timer countin down 30 seconds when i noticed the car wanting to die, when randomly the car almost droped idle compleetly and then continued to idle normaly. that to me seemed like the beginning of the serrious issue with the motor running. about a week after that first incident i was leaving from home and my motor starting craping out in 2nd gear, idle was droping even when i applied the accelerator/gas. the car died slowly and i pulled it over. waitied about 2 minutes and tried starting it, FAILED and just kept turning over. finally after about 5 minutes it began to start to i kept the ignition turning and it started, i made it back home and parked the car where i began to try and self giadnose the problems. I changed my bkr6es11 in for the bcpr7es11. i noticed that the 6's heat range plugs were compleetly black arround the threadding and white in the center. I was told by a friend that it meant i was running lean, then later that day a friend came over to help test the fuel pump to see if it was priming before start. IT DID but only 3 times out of 10 trys. I then tried to self diagnose the fuel pump isssue, i'd wait to hear if the fuel pump primed before i started the motor. When i would hear it prime i'd try and start the motor, the motor would start and idle for about 10 seconds then die, and this happened about 10 times in a row... the motor since then hasnt ran past 20 seconds at one time....

i really dont know what to conclude to but these problems. so any help would be much appreciated from you guys/girls here on nico.

do you still get the leaky injector and idle switch codes? if you do why not try and replace/fix those things first? i know it costs money but the best place to start it from what the ecu tells you.

Find yourself a fuel pressure gauge to see if the fuel pump is acting of

while starting you should seee 40 psi ( on a walbroo )35 -37 psi at idlepressure should go higher if you give some throtlle.

Your problem seem is like mine... Im completly lost like you .. pulsar is coming at my palce and we gonna try do do something with it .. ill will reply if we found something that could help you

If you can try to go at an alternator/starter place to get your alternator tested a bad alternator can give some weird problem.

BTW we dont need rude attitude like tha in the CA section.

If you found something or have an update on your problem write them here, Thx

Hi Man,

Your problem definitely sounds a fuel issue. Regarding the prime thing, if you open and close the ignition few times with very short period of time, the pump won't prime every time, you need to wait around 10sec in between to have the pump prime every time.

Get a fuel gauge adn measure the fuel pressure man, your pump sounds either it is dieing or teh power to the pump might be cutting off after it starts, you can by pass the fuel pump relay and bypass it and hold it on all the time to see if the car dies, but definitely do a fuel pressure test.

Good luck,

wow, that kind of attitude is NOT welcome here... another outburst like that and you're gone buddy.

I don't care how long it takes us to answer your question, that was uncalled for. No one answered your question for one of two reasons. We either didn't know the answer, or we were too busy with other things going on in our lives to try and diagnose a problem with someone else's car. Ever think of the fact that alot of us have jobs, and school, and other things to do than sit around and answer your questions FOR YOU? Perhaps you could SEARCH and figure out how to solve your own problems if you had a week to sit around and wait for an answer. Or maybe you could have taken it to a mechanic, or a local guy who could help you out.

How about this, if you start paying us to sit around and type up answers for you, then you can throw a hissy fit when your question isn't answered promptly, but until then STFU.

Thanks,Sean
