Since my 240 was going to be a full race car, I figured I may as well look for a R32 GTR shell. I like the R32's the best considering they are light.. and will be lighter than a RB240.

Does anyone know where I may find one here in the states for a decent price? I don't want to pay more than 6-8k for the shell w/interior and wheels. (everything except motor). Body needs to be perfect too.. I don't want to do body work.

Cameron, maybe you could source me something? Lemme know yo.

Like I said, won't be street legal. Full race trailer bit(h.

Thanks

No, I'm sure that the R32 GTR will be lighter than a 240SX with an RB. Not by much, but it is... and can be made even lighter if needed.

I'm guessing its mainly for the AWD capability, otherwise I would see no point.

I want the AWD. Otherwise I wouldn't be asking for this. Duh.

And yes, I think it's worth the money to purchase one. Considering they are rare, light, and have MUCH better handling capabilites than an S13 hybrid, I'll gladly spend a couple thousand more for a clean one.

NOW - Can anyone give me a fu(king clue as to where I may find one? I don't need opinions or questions, I'm asking for help sourcing a dam shell. PLEASE.

your not gonna get one in the states

and where do you plan on racing this car? its only gonna be able to do open track days, not actually compete in a class it will have a chance in.

Yes, I will. It's not hard. There are 3 in my area for sale, except they have engines.

I never said anything about racing in classes. I'd build it for my own enjoyment and drive it on open days, like you say. If I wanted to race real competition, I would have stuck with my Honda.

Not a bad idea! Hey can you give me an average price you think I could get one from you for? Hopefully under 7=8k for just the shell w/full interior..

EDIT I looked at the R32 GTS-t you have on your site, it looks very clean. I'd be interested in it without the motor if there was a decent price on it.

I send cars to the US.. why is it hard to get them through customs?? the cars got no engine in it... infact, bring one in with the engine beside it, and it flys through customs,.. install the engine, and away you go.Anything other than drugs and bombs will go through customs.. and quite often they do get through as well. ;)

consider the source also nameless. buyer be ware. ebay has ratings for their sellers and buyers and NICO doesn't, so do your search.

I hope that wasn't aimed at me... I can point you to numerous sources of praise for my dealings etc if need be.

Not at all GTR. Just wanting to let others know that there are places that are more headaches to deal with and that the buyer needs to do his homework before getting the headache that I am going through. Just heads up to others.

If you got numerous praises then you have nothing to worry about.

Alright I emailed you Cameron.

Right now I'd prefer to buy the one from Cam since he's here in the states, but depending on the price I may go either way. I like the fact that cameron has a 92.. I just need to know the price on it without the engine first before making a decision.

This is really hard to decide whether I want to go AWD RHD GTR or S13 RWD. VERY hard!

I could build an S13 for less that's for sure.

Alright guys, decision made. I'll stick with the S13.

If I ever want it to be street legal I'd be better off with it...

Plus I have the engine and trans ready to be dropped into one. I'd rather not source the GTR parts...

I understand hes a sponsor. It just seems more proper if this type of conversation is carried through private means.

Anyways, did you ever get your car finished PROJECTRB240sx?
