I'm looking for some inexpensive but nice looking, heat extraction functional hood vents. Not the $300. carbon fiber ones. Anyone know where I can source some like that?

Go to the hardware store and buy about 1 inch longer hood bolts. Find some washers or something you can use as a spacer and place it between the frame and the hood hinges. Then bolt it down using the extended bolts

That would be good for letting air in the front (assuming I had a front opening hood), but then I need a way to get it out, without pushing it under the car. My hood actuall open in the rear, and lifiting it up there would just suck in air from the high pressure area at the windshield - like a cowl hood does. I think that cutting in some louved vents would be my best option. But I can't find any nice ones.
