i have a 95 standard modlewhen the enigne goes at about 3000 in gears other that 1st there is a hssssing noise. sounds mostly like air blowing really fast. my dad says it might be the fans, seeing that i have two large fans.do you have any idea what it might be

possible small exhaust leak? when the pressure builds in the exhuast the air is pushing through the hole at a higher rate of speed and becomes more pronounced. areas to check if the exhuast is the problem all the gasket flanges, in front of the muffler where the inlet pipe enters. and around the cat inlet and out let pipes.

if it gets louder the higher your RPM's get then it's exhaust related. check it for leaks.
