sounds like ROCKS are bouncin in bell housing!!

ok.....here's my problem. i swapped out old ka24e with another 24e............i drove it for maybe a week and everything was good. then it started to make a knocking sound from the transmission..someone had told me that im missing a bearing because the motor was of a automatic transmission originally, i got 5speed:help

Did you install a pilot bearing?

same thing happens to me, the noise stops when i push the clutch in, do we hav ethe same problem?

Yes it sounds like the same problem. Buy pilot bearings they cost 3 bucks.

It is also possible that you lost a pressure plate bolt, though if you didn't pull the clutch then I doubt it. I've been stuck under the car before puling the starter to get a bolt out that was wedged in the flywheel ring gear. Not fun.

it is either your pilot bearing or your throwout bearing...check both!!

i actually had the same noise..did the clutch with centerforce...pilot and throw out...still hummin...its prob my diff. or my transmission input...oh well

My transmission makes the same noise, i replaced the clutch, pilot bearing and throw out bearing but it still makes the same noise and when i push the clutch in it stops. Some one told me its the bearings inside the transmission going bad and I think theyre right because i get some weird vibration in 5th gear that I dont get in any other gears.

oh sh@t!!! the news just keeps gettin worse.........hmmmm i still wanna think that its pilot bearing...........the transmission was all good before i replaced motor...........but again thanks for the info./this problem will get solved

the noise doesnt stop completely when i push the clutch in....but it does get a hella of a lot quieter.........
