so i bought an RSR mag gt2 exhust off of ebay on a buy it now auction through a company called drift speed. so i give them all my CC info and wanted it to be shipped to me at school, warrensburg MO. problem was that it wasnt a confirmed address, so they wouldnt thip it to me there. but they really didnt tell me that, they just kept both payment and the product. after about 2-3 weeks, i started emailing them, about 4-5 days later i finally got an answer, that i neede to show them i had a confiremed CC. i sent 1 cent to them over paypal. actuall, i have done that three times now, and now it seems they are not talking to me.

im dealing with, Masahiro Omura email is [email protected]

i also have a number for this business, but it is always busy.

Wait, so you paid for the exhaust + shipping + 3 cents? You may need to dispute it either with Paypal or your CC. I would do both. I think you have 30 days with Paypal and 60 days with your card. Hopefully Anand can lay the smackdown NICO style!

No problem. DO the things Rob said, I am going to the shop this week and I will talk to them about it. I'll have them read this thread too. The co-owner is a nice guy, I'm sure he will do something about it..

good news, or at least something seems like it is being done. they called me back today, 500pm lcl time, said that they will have another exhasut for me in in about 1-2 weeks to ship to me, everything with the payment is now ok, and all i am waiting on is the shipping. huh. only a month and half, i guess thats not that back.

When buying things with a credit card over the internet, it is pretty standard for the seller to only be able to ship to the billing address on the card. I remember I bought some things from Heavy Throttle, and they HAD to ship them to me at home.

Then again, I also bought some parts from PowerHouse Racing, and they drop shipped directly from HKS and Greddy to my mechanic.

Your mileage may vary, but don't get upset with the shipper. Odds are they are doing what they have to do to do, in order to stay in the good graces of whoever does their CC authorizations.

yea i doubt that....I bet they ran out or sold it to someone else and instead of telling him, they just beat around the bush and say they can't ship it until they get more. I may be wrong, but hey it is my 2 cents.

Ha ha ha!!!!

I'm sure glad that I'm not the only one that's fallen prey to those guys! I purchased some corss-drilled Brembos from them a while back on E-Bay and it took SIX WEEKS to even ship them!!

I thought that the name sounded familiar, and the [email protected] clenched it. I will give them this though, the Brembos were awesome and very clean. If they had told me that it would have taken so long, that would have been fine......but beating around the bush and giving me excuses is what really got me upset.

Good luck with that. It' not over until you have your exhaust installed!

I bought an rsr ex mag exhaust from them may 1st for an s13. It took until june 3rd to get it. I opened the box and it was for an s14. I have there number and every time i call i get some one. They seem to take care of everything, they are having ups come to my house to pick up the s14 exhaust and when they get the tracking number they will send out the right one. They have to wait until rsr gets the exhaust in. I called rsr and they told me the same thing that driftspeed told me. So it seems like they are doing what they can.

A merchant has the duty to do what is reasonably necessary to try and limit an unauthorized use of a credit card. So when a merchant ID's you or asks for additional info to verify you are who you say you are, then thank them.

It is true that generally they need to verify your biliing address with the CC company to authorize a charge. Some companies are reluctant to send to a location other than a billing address. As a merchant, I would be. I have a PO box myself and all my bills go there. Most packages can not be shipped there. But Credit companies can put an alternate billing address for mailed purchases. I'm not sure if this is what might have held things up, but it might be worth looking into....for future purchases.
