very fast tick tick tick tick sound when cranking and car wont start....starter or alt or what? thanks for any help.

Is it cranking, or just ticking? If it's just ticking, then it's a ground problem. I hear to look for the head-to-firewall ground. Not alternator for sure.

ok cool. ill check on that in the morning. thanks. ill post what happens. im glad to hear its not the alt for sure tho. i was kinda worried cuz a bunch of water poured on it... but ill check on all the gounds. thanks again.

Grounds, relays, fuses, ECU error codes, or dirty battery terminals.

If it turns out not to be one of these I would be shocked.

well i got home and got it started. i guess it was the grounds. i was messin with them yesterday with no luck but today it seemed to work. oh well. least now i know what it is the next time it happens. thanks for replying to me.
