I hear some sound like "click..." when I turn on the AC. Also, the car vibrates a bit when the AC is on. Is that normal? Do you guys have that or I should have the dealer checking it out?

Thanks!

I'm experiencing nothing of the sort and I have to run my AC almost all the time during these scorching summer days. I'd be calling the service dept and scheduling an appointment.

A click under the hood when you turn your a/c on is just the compressor activating. It's completely normal.

As far as the vibration...it depends on how much. A/C puts an additional load on the engine and it's normal for the car to idle just a wee bit rougher and seem like it has less power at times while the compressor is running. However, it shouldn't be overly noticable.

If I haven't used the AC in a while, my car make a fair amount of noise while the compressor builds its charge. If I use the AC daily, the noise isn't there. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless the vibration is severe and constant. Still, take my advice with a grain of salt, I'm not a mechanic.

My compressor is just strange in the winter months. With the HVAC set to heat & defog the compressor is engaged and the dash AC button lit.

The compressor becomes very buzzy it doesn't make this sound in the summer months when pumping cool air. This buzz disappears when I extinguish the dash AC button. I don't know if this is a compressor load-related issue with the CVT?

No problems we me and my CVT.

The AC is supposed to run when you are on defrost -- something to do with humidity (in fact, the dial points out that the AC will be one).

I know, my compressor sounds very buzzy in the winter and I don't know why.
