I have replace the HU and all speakers for my 97 J30. but would it be easy to remove the bose factory amps from the car? If anybody has any input or pics on how to remove it, that would be great. Would there also be a difference how the system sounds with and without the amps?

yep.

Easiest thing to do is take the amps out. Run new wire into the doors(14awg or 16awg).

Away you go. This will allow you to push alot more power to the speakers if you decide to get an amp

is it easy to run new wires to speakers. I have installed speakers and HU's before but never rewired one before. What kind of wires/materials would i need? Is it easy to do?

The hardest part will be taking the door panel and other interior panels off. The wiring is easy. If you have everything off, now is the best time to dynamat all exposed metal to kill rattles and improve sound.

Sometimes it's a little tricky to get the new speaker wires through the door jam depending on how tight things are. Overall it's a pretty easy job. Just take your time and don't be in a hurry.

I'm in Phoenix as well panther so if you'd like any help let me know. My office is south of Sky Harbor airport. I've been installing mobile electronics for years and also have, or can get, pretty much anything you need.
