Sound of HKS Hi Power

for those of you that are curious as to how the HKS Hi Power exhaust sounds, jon and i took a video of the one on my car. you can see the exhaust cause we did it at night but you can hear it. it is on my 95 240SX. the only motor work done so far is that and a cheep *** intake so the sound you hear is prity much just the exhaust on a stock KA24DE motor.

first i start up, then rev to about 3grand, then to about 5grand, then shut it off.

i havnt heard brm, but i filmed the video... (in all its toxic glory *cough)

its not too loud, bacically just enough. if you want it to be quiet it will be, if you really punch it it'll show its grunt. VERY nice exaust

Is that the N/A or turbo model? I need to get a sound clip of mine (turbo model). Great exhaust.

rico05. your car is lowered. do you have any clearance issue with this exhaust? I heard that someone had experienced clearance issue..

Clearance? As in hitting everything? Hells yes it does. The back of the can dings every speed bump and driveway I drive over. BUT HKS is very smart. Both the silencer/resonator and the can have reinforcement plates TIG welded on to keep from any damamge happening. Nothing short of an air chisel could damge it. Seriously. I took a peek after about 6 months of use (the other day) and there are a dings on the plate, but that is it. HKS does not build crap.

and i agree that we should have a sticky for sounds in general...anything from BOVs to Exhausts

Whyfor did you get the turbo model for your car? I assume that you plan to go boost eventually? NA model would have been a better choice if you aren't.

And FYI, it is 85mm piping to 120mm tip

sounds nice, but we should get a concensus on angle and distance from the bumper when we are making these clips.
