What's up guys, I have a '90 q45 w/ a fm modulated factory Bose, pioneer cdx-fm1227s 12disc changer w/ remote and factory bose speakers currently installed. when I play a cd the sound is not clear. It sounds like when you turn the dial on an analog radio and its in between stations, you know that "snow-like buzz" kinda like w/ a tv. Its coming from all speakers. Its not like a bad ground, in fact the front drivers speaker has a bad ground i hear it every so often and tap it and it'll go away. I'm not familiar w/ this kinda stuff, so i'm not sure how to troubleshoot it, Help. It's very evident that the sound is there when a cd is playing and I press pause, the music stops and boom there it is "standing alone". It goes up and down w/ volume and doesn't fluctuate w/ rpm's. Any idea's? The radio itself seems to be playing ok, but i kinda think even it's clarity is compromised too.:help

Does the radio have good clarity? (Sound good) is there any aftermarket installs?? Do a balance and fade test to see if it is your actual speakers. Direct all soind to one speaker , one at a time. Let us know

You said your cd-changer is FM modulated, which should mean the sound from the cd-changer is being transmitted to the head-unit via FM frequency. Make sure the cd-changer is matching stations with the head-unit. Also, check if the frequency isn't taken or being overpowered by any local radio stations.

Good luck!

That's also a good test. I just re-read your post and realized you had a pioneer 12disc .. Definitely make sure you have the right frequency because with changers and hands free cellphone kits you need an exact frequency to operate properly.

If your off by a dial you will get some distortion or nothing at all.
