Who has done it?
To what extent?
Were there any tricks to removing the seats, carpet, etc?
Do you have any pictures to share?

Does anyone have detailed knowledge (like Nissan factory testing) of where the most noise leaks into the vehicle?

How much of the noise is engine related?

This is my project for the weekend of the 19th. I plan on removing the seats and carpet and using Second Skin (SS) Damplifier and Spectrum on the floors. I'm not doing 100% coverage, just looking to cover the largest flattest areas and using the liquid stuff for some of the more obscure areas. I'll aim for 50% with those 2.
I'll cover that with a layer of SS Luxury Liner Pro and try to get 100% coverage with this. The doors will be done in Damplifier also, but I haven't decided if I'll do the doors on the internal part or on the external part(just behind the panel). In the past I did it on the externals and sealed the door up with it and it seemed to do an alright job.
I plan on running the wiring for my stereo at the same time, but is there anything else I should do while the carpet and seats are out?

Go to where ever locally sells dry ice and buy like $20 worth or so. After all the seats and carpet and everything is out....just smash up the dry ice and let it sit, covering the floor for a minute or two...then LIGHTLY chizzle and beat it all out. I say lightly because u can dent the sheet metal like i did with my first s13. But when u hit it with a hammer or something, it will just shatter and suck it up with your shopvac.
And for the parts of the car that are verticle or on the wheelwells, use a heatgun and scrape it off with a paint scraper....then grind off the residue and sand and paint.
You will probably save almost 100lbs with it stripped and it sounds fine...Not to loud at all. Get a Lexus or something if u don"t like it. :gotme I Didnt put any sealer stuff though...I was going for Uber Light weight...but it still loooked good for a spraycan. Dirty and old in this picture.

You can custom do the chassis harness that runs across the driver side floor and run it through the hole but this was a driftcar so it didnt last a year...lol
