The Sound Deadener Showdown is completely different from when Apple first made the FAQ thread. It is very interesting that all brands of sound deadening mats are no longer compared and are no longer recommended. The usual strategy of applying a layer of deadener throughout the car and applying multiple layers in problem areas is thrown out the window.
